We constructed this 5,000-square-foot custom home with a detached ADU in one of the most extraordinary settings in Colorado. Located within Red Rocks Amphitheatre Park, the project called for a thoughtful balance of architectural ambition and environmental sensitivity. In collaboration with Semple Brown, we helped bring a highly considered home to life in a place where both the design and the context carried exceptional weight.

One of the defining challenges was representing the client through a planning and zoning hearing to secure the right to build. The finished home pairs rain screen cladding, closed-cell spray foam, a conditioned crawlspace, and high-performance windows and doors with a Tesla solar roof, Powerwall, and a WUI-compliant exterior. The result is a deeply site-specific home that honors both performance and place.
