We transformed this one-story commercial building from the 1960s into a collection of modern art studios designed for an artist collective. The renovation reimagined a deteriorated structure as a flexible creative environment, including multiple studio spaces and one larger studio with living amenities such as a full kitchen and bath.

The project required a complete shift in how the building functioned, moving from an aging commercial shell to a place designed to support making, gathering, and everyday use. Rooftop-mounted heat pumps for each unit, high-performance windows and doors, and continuous interior insulation helped modernize the building from both a functional and performance standpoint. The finished project reflects a clean, purposeful transformation shaped around creativity and adaptability.
